Why Did I Choose to Focus on Health & Wellness Businesses?
I didn’t set out to specialize in working with health and wellness providers—but when I look back, it makes a lot of sense. It’s a combination of my professional experience and my own time navigating the healthcare system as a patient, and it’s shaped how I think about the work I do now.
How My Personal Experience Shaped My Perspective
When I was in college, I started dealing with a range of unexplained health issues. I saw several different doctors with symptoms no one had answers for, and I left appointments feeling like I was a bit of a mystery. At one point, I was told, “Something seems off, but we’re not sure what—come back if it gets worse.”
So I learned to live with it.
A few years later, after I had started working in marketing & design, I found myself looking for a new primary care doctor. A friend recommended one she had just seen and liked, so I gave her a try. That integrative doctor asked enough questions to know where to dig deeper and helped figure out what was going on.
Once I had a diagnosis for my autoimmune condition, I started looking for other kinds of support to help me feel better. And that’s when I really started noticing how hard it can be to figure out who to trust and where to turn, especially when providers’ websites often didn’t give a clear sense of what they offer or what to expect.
Even with a personal recommendation, it wasn’t always easy to take that first step. When a provider’s online presence felt unclear, outdated, or incomplete, it added to the uncertainty I already felt as a patient. It made it harder to feel confident about booking that first appointment—and even harder to know if I’d found the right person to help me.
That experience stuck with me. It helped me see how important it is to find practitioners who will listen, ask the right questions, and take the time to really understand what someone is going through—and how important it is for their online presence to reflect that care.
Why I Care About This Work
Over the years, I’ve seen a variety of health and wellness practitioners for my own care—chiropractors, massage therapists, physical therapists, counselors, an herbalist, a nutrition coach. These experiences have taught me the value of finding providers who are thoughtful, collaborative, and invested in their clients’ well-being.
One of my biggest motivations for focusing on this work is my desire to help improve the patient experience. Too often, patients are left feeling frustrated and disempowered. As someone who has been in their shoes, I understand how important it is to find practitioners who truly care and are willing to work with you to figure things out.
How I Can Help Health & Wellness Businesses
My work is about helping health and wellness providers connect with the people who need them most. I want to make it easier for the right clients to find you so you can focus on the work that really matters: caring for your clients and helping them feel heard, supported, and empowered in their own health journeys.
If you’ve been feeling like your website, messaging, or systems aren’t quite reflecting the heart of your work, I’d love to help you sort through what’s feeling stuck and figure out what might be the most useful for where you are now.
